Inadequate Audio Settings
If you can’t hear footsteps, check your audio settings. Ensure your game’s volume is set appropriately and that the “Audio Mix” in the MW3 audio options is set to “Stereo” or “Headphones.”
Outdated Audio Drivers
Ensure your audio drivers are up-to-date. In Device Manager, expand “Sound, video, and game controllers” and right-click on your audio device to update drivers.
Incorrect Headset Configuration
Verify your headset is configured correctly. Connect the headset directly to the MixAmp instead of a controller. Also, check that the Game and Voice balances are set appropriately in the MixAmp’s software.
