Compared to other CRPGs on PS4, “Baldur’s Gate” excels in its classic D&D mechanics, branching storylines, and deep character customization. Its turn-based combat, reminiscent of tabletop gameplay, sets it apart from action-oriented RPGs like “Diablo.” However, it lacks the graphical fidelity and polish of modern titles like “Kingdom Come: Deliverance” and has a smaller open world than “The Witcher III: Wild Hunt.”
